Most modelmakers from this branche use standard 1:87 scale for their models. That makes a 12 meter bus be only 14 cm (5 1/2 inch) long. However all of my models, except for a couple of exemplars, are manufactured in non-standard 1:30 scale. I didn't know much about standard scales when I began modeling . The choice was made between desired size of a model and size of available material. I decided to hold on to the same scale through all these years, though. Unification of parts and use of stencils for their modeling were reasons good enough.
